Will Trump Announce a Bitcoin Fund?
While Porter insists his sources are credible and that this is not a joke, the crypto community remains divided on the likelihood of such an announcement.
A US government Bitcoin reserve would have far-reaching implications. This move could legitimize Bitcoin as a national asset and influence global monetary policies.
Adding fuel to the speculation, analyst Nick Ford shared his vision of how Trump might frame such an announcement: “Well, folks, I’ve always been a man of vision, a man who sees opportunities where others see obstacles. You know that. That’s why today, I’m announcing something big, something huge. We’re going to buy government Bitcoin. That’s right.”
Ford’s hypothetical scenario even includes a price prediction, suggesting Bitcoin could hit “$80K in a single candle” following such an announcement.
However, it’s crucial to approach these claims with caution. Trump’s past statements on cryptocurrencies have been mixed.
Trump has changed his stance on cryptocurrency over the years. From being anti-crypto, he has become a pro-candidate.
The Nashville Bitcoin 2024 conference is a much-awaited event. All eyes will be on Trump’s speech, especially.
